• The Vision:

Our vision is to help people in the D.C. area and beyond become fully devoted disciples of Christ.” (Mt. 28:19)

  • But what is a “Fully Devoted Disciple (FDD)”?

1.   A FDD is one who is intimately connected to CHRIST

v      Explanation:  He/she has come to know Christ as personal Lord and Savior realizing that it is by God’s grace through faith alone in the person and work of Christ that he/she is saved.  Also, that person in response to God’s grace is seeking to daily know Christ and become like Him by spending time in His Word and Prayer and through other spiritual disciplines.

2.       A FDD is one who is committed to Christ’s COMMUNITY

v    Explanation:  Realizes that they now have a spiritual family through Christ and realize that spiritual growth and support is impossible without His community.  Thus, they wholeheartedly commit to Christ’s community by regularly participating in the life of the local church through small groups and Sunday services and by serving with their gifts.

3.       A FDD is one who is abandoned to Christ’s CAUSE

v     Explanation:  Realizes that part of being a Christ follower is to live for Christ and His Cause and His Kingdom.  Thus, through their resources (e.g. time, money, energies) they seek to advance the cause of Christ by praying for the lost in D.C. and the world; by giving to the local church; by participating in worldwide missions; by displaying God’s justice in D.C. and beyond; and by actively engaging in personal evangelism so that others may also become fully devoted disciples of Christ.
